Chandrayaan-3, ISRO's third lunar exploration mission, is set to launch from Sriharikota on Friday, July 14. ISRO is fully prepared for the launch. India will become the fourth nation to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon thanks to this mission, demonstrating the country's capacity for safe and gentle lunar landings.
Before the mission's launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Friday, the countdown for the launch will start on Thursday.
About Chandrayaan-3:
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is designing and developing India's forthcoming lunar exploration mission, Chandrayaan-3. It is the third mission in the Chandrayaan series, following the successful missions Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2. The major goal of Chandrayaan-3 is to demonstrate India's capacity to land safely and softly on the lunar surface.
The project intends to build on the successes of its predecessor, Chandrayaan-2, which includes an orbiter, a lander (Vikram), and a rover (Pragyan). The lander had difficulties throughout the landing procedure during the Chandrayaan-2 mission, culminating in an unsuccessful landing attempt.
Chandrayaan-3 is planned to incorporate modifications and enhancements to guarantee a successful lunar landing. The project will include an orbiter, a lander, and a rover, all of which will be outfitted with cutting-edge sensors and technology to conduct scientific experiments and collect important data on the moon's surface and composition.
Chandrayaan-3 LAUNCH
LVM3 will launch it from SDSC SHAR in Sriharikota. The lander and rover configuration will be carried by the propulsion module until they reach 100 km lunar orbit. The Spectro-polarimetry of Habitable Planet Earth (SHAPE) payload aboard the propulsion module is used to analyze spectral and Polarimetric measurements of Earth from lunar orbit.
DATE AND TIME:
ISRO Chandrayaan 3 is India's third lunar mission, and the spacecraft is scheduled to launch at 2:35 on July 14. The Chandrayaan 3 Lander will travel for slightly more than a month and is planned to soft-land on the lunar surface on August 23 or 24.
